Rock Suffer First Loss

by Mike Hancock

The Oakville Rock fell by a score of 13-12 to the previously winless Cobourg Kodiaks on Thursday night at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre in Oakville, ON.

The Rock found themselves in penalty trouble all night long and could never wrestle away the momentum from the hard working Kodiaks.

The night wasn't without its highlights for the Rock.  Dylan Watson, son of Toronto Rock legend Bob Watson, scored his first MSL goal.  The beauty was three-fold.  It was shorthanded.  Ryan Lanchbury threaded a perfect bounce pass to Watson.  And lastly, Watson's finish was as beautiful as it gets as he stuffed the ball past Kevin Orleman in the Cobourg cage.

The Rock are back in action next week with games on Wednesday (vs. Brooklin) and Thursday (vs. Six Nations) at the TRAC at 8pm.

Tickets can be reserved for games at majorserieslacrosse.ca/contact.
